“The rule for all of us is perfectly simple. Do not waste time bothering whether you 'love' your neighbour; act as if you did. As soon as we do this we find one of the great secrets. When you are behaving as if you loved someone, you will presently come to love him. “

Introducing my granddaughter...

This is my granddaughter Reagan.  Born with Down Syndrome, she so totally brightens our lives.  I struggle with the words to express all the feelings that have been a result of her very existence.  We have been plunged into the world of DS, and it is simply amazing the amount you can learn in a very short time.  Some of it is very disturbing...  85 to 90 % of babies diagnosed as Down"s are aborted...  they never get a chance to see life.  And, disturbingly, many, many of those are incorrectly diagnosed and were never Down"s at all!  It makes my heart very heavy just typing those words.

As a result I am very passionate about helping to save those children who are destined to a life of horror if we do not do anything to help.

So I plead with you, dear reader, to search your heart deeply and find what is in there for you to do.  Maybe it's just to educate yourself, help educate others, perhaps help financially, or maybe even open your heart to being a forever home for one of these precious children.

But please don't be like so many people on Facebook who won't even comment.  I have posted, my wife has posted, my daughter has posted... not one comment or even "like".

My heart is heavy...

Help save a child from a life of horror!

In Eastern Europe, babies with Down syndrome are deemed unacceptable at birth. They are left in orphanages until the age of five. When they turn 5, they are transferred to a mental institution. Forever.......

Until I can blog more on this, go to this site to learn more about what you can do to help...
